Step 1 : Polish and Seal Nothing looks worse then lipstick on dry cracked lips. Not only is the sight unpleasing, but lipstick does not adhere to flaky lips. Colour will stay best on a smooth base. Use a lip exfoliator or even an old toothbrush to brush away any loose pieces of skin. My favourite trick is to mix a little baking soda with a splash of lemon juice.
